Find The Best Affordable Health Care Plan
Today in America, many more of its population is in need of affordable health care. A number of employers have reduced their health care benefits because accountants are working to tighter budgets and the cost of providing this service has risen. In this instance I speak with experience because my health care service has reduced this year for the first time ever. The first we knew about it was when the company called a meeting informing of some changes including the switch to a cheaper health care provider.
They said it was necessary if all their employees were to have the same level of health care. I do not doubt that many people will say that I am still doing alright and should not complain. The new insurance company may be cheaper for the company but it is not for me because to have my husband and daughter in the plan costs double what it did with the previous provider. Taking a good deal less home in my paycheck to have my family remain on the healthcare policy seems to be the only option I have because almost everyone else is happy with the new arrangement.
Ok, so my health care is still respectable but the new company that we have is not as good as our previous. An affordable health care provider may have been the excuse for the change but the only result some of us have seen is higher out of pocket expenses and co-pays, not to mention reduced paychecks. I am sure of this because just over 2 years ago when I had my little boy, the stay in hospital was completely covered by my insurance policy. This new plan, under similar circumstances however, would personally cost me in excess of 5,000 dollars.
This figure does not take into account additional amounts I must pay out of my salary. Fortunately, more affordable health care scheme are being started to help those less fortunate. Options now exist for people that are not supplied with a health provision where they work, and now single mothers have access to plans which they can join; some people can even have free health care. Unfortunately, there are always a few that want to ruin it for the rest and this system is prone to misuse.
I feel sorry for those in genuine need of affordable health care who must look around and see others who are just sponges on the system: a financial burden to the state. We all have a responsibility to help those less fortunate but those who abuse the system put extra financial pressure on the rest of us. By switching providers, it was my company that realized the true advantages of this low cost option and a number of employees. Having a reduced income seems to be the result of these work changes with only the company truly benefiting. We have a responsibility here in America to providing some sort of affordable health care for those that need it most.
